BIO
Gerald F. Wheeler is executive director of the National Science Teachers Association. His current research includes experimenting with the uses of telecomputer networks to connect teachers and students at distant sites. Prior to his NSTA position, he was professor of physics at Montana State University, director of the Science/Math Resource Center, and program director for AAAS in the area of public understanding of science and technology. Trained as a nuclear physicist, Dr. Wheeler has received numerous recognitions for his teaching and mass media work.EXPERTISE
